The Rupiah exchange rate against the United States of America (US) dollar opened higher this morning. Rupiah opens with Rp.13,909 per USD.
Quoting the Bloomberg Dollar Index, Tuesday (1/7/2020) at 9.23 WIB, the Rupiah in spot exchange trading rose 35 points or 0.25% to the level of Rp13,909 per USD. Rupiah moves in the range of Rp.13,907-Rp13,935 per USD.
Meanwhile, YahooFinance noted the Rupiah did not move at the level of Rp13,957 per USD. Rupiah moves in the range of Rp13,957-Rp13,957 per USD.
"On the technical side, the yen has strengthened even before the Iran problem so the game may overdo it below 108 yen and we see the dollar returning towards 109 yen," said John Doyle, vice president of trade and trade at Tempus Inc. in Washington.
